Just FYI, I'm going to be in Japan from March 26- April 3, which means that my characters will be on hiatus for that amount of time. As far as IC excuses, Cam will be off world, Alice will be on Spring Break in Alaska, and Piper... well, I haven't though of anything good for her yet, but yeah, she won't be around either.

I have some exciting news to share with you all...

I'm gonna be a dad! :D

I made the decision to adopt a while ago. The process has been ongoing since last summer, and this week, the Chinese government gave its stamp of approval. They haven't given me an exact date, but I should be able to go and get her in the beginning of May.

Some of you might already know my daughter-to-be. Her name is Ran, and she's one of the kids at Sanzo and Hakkai's orphanage.

Spring break is nearly upon us. My family has made plans to go to Alaska and visit some friends in Denali that we haven't seen in a while. I'm excited. :)

God, my life is weird. Paige accidentally summoned her lover from a past life, who happened to be a knight in shining armor. Literally. And then her past self, an evil sorceress, came to reclaim him, and she attacked us, and it was a mess. Phoebe and I were chained up in a dungeon, and Leo and Paige ended up saving the day... I've never really seen Leo fight anyone before, but just because he's a pacifist doesn't mean he can't fight. He's actually pretty good.

Paige has decided to move in with us. I have to say, I'm relieved. Now we can finally vanquish that damned shocker demon and use the electricity in our house again.

Spring break! *grins* First part with Ni-san and Sanzo in Chang'an, then home with Seto for the rest when he's done his business trip. Much as I like school, I'm glad ta be outta here for a while!

I got a call today. Your request to adopt Ran has been approved, and the government is now making the final preparations. They say eight weeks, so that puts it right at the beginning of May! I'm sure they'll contact you directly when they have a concrete date, though if I hear anything before you, I'll be sure to let you know.

So...I guess congratulations are in order...Dad! ^_^

Taking Donna to Shan Shen next. Should we bring you back some souvenirs? Or at least some fizzy drinks? I do like a fizzy drink.

Just an update: we are adjusting, both as a team and as a family. Kai has asked a few times if Toshiko is coming to visit again, but we've tried to explain it in terms a three-year-old will understand and I'm beginning to think he gets it. This has meant, though, that he's been a bit more clingy and sad when it comes time for us to leave for the day, and when people come to visit he doesn't want them to leave, either. He hardly left his gram's arms when we visited my parents last.

Fortunately Jack has proved to be a good playmate for him lately, which should probably surprise no one. He may be God-only-knows how old and has traveled to parts of the universe you and I only see in our dreams, but he's also really just a small child inside.

I must also admit that I receive some pleasure from wearing a piece of Dean's jewelry that he has worn since he was a child.

Alright, folks, it's that time again. There's been a considerable lack of activity on the comm, so we need to take a headcount and see who's really here and who we've lost.

What I need from each of you is this: A response to this log with who you're keeping and who you're dropping, and a quick IC post by your pup to the comm.

It's 8 March today. Since it's spring break season, I'll keep this open until the end of the month. That means you have until 31 March to post your head count reply here, and an IC post for each pup you're keeping to the comm. Then we'll purge.

This really is a great comm, folks. I hate to see it die. So please, if you're serious about keeping it open, respond and start playing, yeah? And of course, if you have any ideas for pimping TIC and drawing in new members, your friendly mods would love to hear from you!
